sometimes you just get lucky with that kick ass crew
I am a lucky girl. I say that often.
I’ve got my hubs and kids and a roof over my head.
A tight knit family on both sides.
And then there’s the girlfriends.
I have my 2 best friends from the neighborhood in which I grew up. Years can go by and when we’re together, a day hasn’t passed.
My college best friend that I helped raise her daughter. We are only seperated by a few states but always a phone call away.
And now I have my mom friends. Holy shit. That’s a whole new state of affairs. Somehow, because our kids were friends, we all became friends.
These friends are a motley crew. Such different personalities.
We laugh.
We cry.
We eat.
We drink.
We tease the hell out of each other
But we ALWAYS have each other’s backs
I know that I always have my girls – from childhood through adulthood.
I freaking love each and every one of them. All their strengths. Their weaknesses.
The brains, the beauty, the love, the strength, the heartache, the triumphs.
The motivated, committed, struggling, depressed and joyous.
Good habits. Bad habits.
Ups. Downs.
Don’t know, don’t care. I’ll be there.
Your kids are my kids. Their wins are my wins. Their losses – well, you can deal with the teenage angst, but I’ll hug them!
Wendie, this site looks amazing and I am so proud to be one of your mom friends! You are amazing at everything you do! You put your entire self and more into your family, friends, career and your passions. I am so proud of you and your other half. Adventure is out there and you are making it happen!
